The Band
Peter, Richard, Lorna & Tony - the Pluck & Squeeze Band.

Peter on guitar - a driving rhythm section (hopefully not to distraction).

Richard on fiddle - he plays red hot fiddle, from jigs to jazz.

Lorna on accordion - A keyboard wizard with lightning fingers.

Tony on bass - a solid beat on his electric bass.

 

Guest Artists -

Heulwen on fiddle  Kate is special guest artist who has played in the band for many years. Jeremy on bass. Steve on bass.
Heulwen plays hot jazz violin with several top bands in Cardiff. Kate - joined us as a student, and now a high school Head of Performing Arts.  Jeremy has played with us from the very start - on his fretless bass. Steve on bass - plays with several rock and jazz bands in South Wales.

 

Meet the Dance Callers

 
Ned calls for ceilidhs and barn dances.

 

 Ned
He's been there and done it all, with charm, and in between he calls dances.
Also a whiz on harmonica - we've lost count of how many he's got!

 

Pat 
  The star of Welsh folk band Calennig, a virtuoso on spoons and concertina.
  She also runs Llantrisant Folk Club 

 

 Pat calls Welsh twmpath dances and also plays the spoons.

 

 

 

 

 

Alun's a fluent Welsh speaker.Alun
 Guaranteed to get everyone up and dancing, - full of traditional "hwyl".
 Alun can call dances in Welsh whenever necessary.
Often heard commentating on Radio Cymru and S4C sports matches.

 

 

 

 

 

Ceri 
Ceri is a lively and exuberant dance caller -  in both Welsh and English.
She uses a radio mike, so gets on to the dance floor with the dancers.
She also dances with Penyfai folk dancing group.
